Let your Light Shine

Jennifer Gambill

Something about yesterday was wonderful.  Allen was spot on with a great sermon.  A precious family came forward, broken and asking our church family to pray for them.  And we did.  Our Shepherds let their love for this family spill from their words, hearts, and their eyes.  What a wonderful blessing the Legacy Family is!  Praise God that not only can we share our joy, but also our pain.  We are a blessed people that we have a Lord who sacrificed His Son to carry our burdens.  Who do you know that doesn’t know this peace and joy?  Who can you begin praying over, preparing your heart to speak to them about Jesus?  Mine is someone who I so desperately want to know the Lord so that he can be released from the anger and pain that follows him.  Someone that is a good man, but needs the Lord to find peace.  I am praying for Him, by name, everyday, and though he has rejected our conversation before, my prayer is that God will continue to give me opportunities for it to happen.

May God bless you this week.  May He bless you with an opportunity to share the gift of His Son with someone.

“In the same way, let your light shine before men, that they may see your good deeds and praise your Father in heaven.”  Matthew 5:16
