YES!

I love when a child hears something in a sermon and comments out loud, especially when a child is preschool age.  Two young boys were sitting near us with their Grandparents, coloring when Don Savage got up to speak to us about our fourth Member Expectation: “Demonstrate Christ-like behavior in everything they do, say, and think”.  Don had talked for a bit, but a number of times said “Do you want to be like Jesus?”.  All of us, especially adults were silently agreeing, but not one of these little boys.  No sooner had Don said it, he gave a resounding ‘YES!’.  Of course our area snickered a little, but how precious was that!  With all the passion he could muster, he answered our Shepherd, and his answer was YES!  When is the last time you answered yes with that much passion?   My prayer for this week is that we can all be passionate about serving our Lord and find time to say ‘YES!’ to Him.
